The Groom’s Story

Porsha and I met in high school in Lecanto, Florida in the fall of 2004. We had a number of classes together and I remember seeing Porsha as this popular girl who could do no wrong that I never really had the courage to ask on a date. She was intimidating! Naturally, that called for some schoolyard flirting in the way of stealing her lunchbox and throwing things at her when the teacher wasn’t looking. Fast-forward three years later, and we became close friends. In fall of 2007, I had finally worked up the bravery to ask her on a date. I couldn’t have been more wrong about Porsha. I quickly discovered that she is very down-to-earth, kind-hearted, thoughtful and inspires a sense of adventure and creativity in me. Not many things in this world bring me more joy than to hear Porsha laughing out loud. We have been dating, officially, for seven years. It has been an amazing and unforgettable seven years, and I am absolutely looking forward to starting our new life together!
